Maybe only a handful of you remember Old City's Club Revival during the late '80s/early '90s. DJs Robert Drake (of WXPN fame) and Marilyn Thomas resurrect the vibe by mixing up The Cure, Siouxsie, Love & Rockets, Bauhaus and almost always a little Joy Division. Sex Dwarf was once held every last Tuesday of the month, but the party became so damn good, Fluid nightclub moved the night to a Friday night! - Philadelphia City Paper

In 2006, the readers spoke out and voted Sex Dwarf the BEST DANCE PARTY IN PHILLY, proclaiming "Five hours of sweaty fun spun by the best DJ in town" and also awarded me BEST LOCAL DJ, saying that "This dude has resurrected the authentic new wave culture singlehandedly in Philly."

Additionally, the CP editors gave props out to both Land of the Lost and Q'zine; the two programs I host on WXPN.

Since January 2005, we've spotlighted a different new wave artist each month. In 2006 we introduced the Sex Dwarf Stage - for those moments when you feel the need to be front-n-center in the madness. In January 2007 we took Sex Dwarf to a new level of madness by creating a complimenting fashion theme for the monthly parties!! OCT 3	The Dark Side of New Wave! - one of our more popular parties, join us as we enter the dark side of new wave - early goth, blacker beats and darker synths! Costumes are encouraged for this event - either go ghoulish - or come as your favorite new wave artist! Prizes for the most original costumes of the night!
NOV 7	3rd Annual Sex Dwarf Wig Party! - fall is in the air so it's time to celebrate hair! With a musical spotlight on The B-52's, tease it, paint it and pile it high! Whether a wig or your own style, tonight it's all about the top, of you that is! Prizes for the best creations!
DEC 5	2008 Sex Dwarf Snow Ball! - It's a Neverending Story tonight as we travel into a winter wonderland and celebrate another year of new wave goodness! White is the theme - or come as royalty; perhaps the Ice Princess or maybe even Mr. Heat Miser... if you dare!
JAN 2	Happy New Wave! - Continue your 2009 New Year's Celebrations - tonight we spotlight Blondie - so feel free to showcase that blonde hair - be it natural or synthetic! Special giveaways throughout the night and more!!
